Pressing On

If I could have things my way...
life would be a little bit different right now.
Yet, everything happens for a reason!

As for now: 5,000 questions need to be completed before I sit for my Nursing Boards! I'm just shy of 3,000. Oy! He is my STRENGTH ;)

Let Him lead

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I day, on the Lord!
Psalm 27:14

I am realizing that some times the things that I want in my life, are not a part of God's plan. It is defiantly a smack in the face, and a wake up call to realize that I need to let the Lord lead my life. There are so many things that I wish were happening right now, and I would try and make them happen. It only leaves you helpless, frustrated, and disappointed---that does not sound like fun.

Patience is my weakness. When praying for patience, I think the Lord just gives you more situations that cause you to practice just that. He's creative, isn't He?

It is fair to say..

...that letting go is the hardest part...

For now, 12 days and counting.

Time is running out

The semester is coming to a close, and it is happening so fast! It feels like yesterday was the first day of college. I remember it so vividly: classes started on the day my birthday. I remember walking in DeMoss and my brother was singing "Happy Birthday" as loud as he could! It was a good first day of college. Now, its almost over. 22 more days until graduation.

The last 2 weeks have been crazy busy, but the funny thing is, it's been the most enjoyable. Emily, Christel and I have become really close this semester. You would think that we have known each other for a long time, but we have only know each other for less than a year. Through planning the Senior events (graduation, parties, etc), I have met a few more girls from the program that I never really hung out with: Kellee, Candice, Mary Grace, Amanda and so many others. They are just a blessing & a joy to be around. Emily and I have played basketball together the past few Fridays, and made some new friends at Lahaye: Josh and Elijah. Its been fun playing two on two with them, but my basketball skills have escaped me--its quite sad really. They are really fun & its been nice to hang out with them.

I wish I could put more hours in a day, and slow down these next few weeks. I wish I could have met all of these people earlier on in my journey here at Liberty. If only these past few weeks were the beginning instead of the end. Its going to be really hard for me to leave all of this behind in just 22 short days...

How He loves by David Crowder

"
He is jealous for me,

Loves like a hurricane i am a tree,
bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy,

When all of a sudden
i am unaware of these afflictions
eclipsed by glory.

And realize just how beautiful You are
And how great your affections are for me

OH, how He love us oh,
Oh how He love us,
How he loves us oh

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane i am a tree,
bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy,

When all of a sudden
i am unaware of these afflictions
eclipsed by glory.

And realize just how beautiful You are
And how great Your affections are for me

Oh how He loves
yeah He loves us
OH, how He love us oh,
Oh how He love us,
How he loves

And we are His portion and He is our prize
drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
if His grace is an ocean we are all sinking

and Heaven meets Earth like and unforeseen kiss
and my heart turns violently inside my chest
i don't have time to maintain these regrets
when i think about

The way,
Oh how He loves us so
oh how He loves us
how He loves us so

How He loves
yeah He loves us
oh how He loves us
oh how He loves us
oh how He loves---

oh i love
yeah how He loves
how He loves us
how He loves us
oh how He loves us so..."

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Last night was girls' night out and we had a great time! There were 13 of us total (: We went to Waterstone Pizza for dinner and then went to the Movies to see "Valentine's Day". Waterstone is in downtown Lynchburg and they have an assortment of pizza, pastas, and salads! Its SO good-- I had the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it had me stuffed! "Valentine's Day " was really funny too... Im glad we picked that movie instead of "Dear John". I will post pictures soon of the event (:
